Wednesday evening we continued our study in the book of Exodus led by Brother Ludwig. We are now getting into some of the law which really gives a better understanding of the New Covenant. God blessed us once again with wonderful Sunday services. Sunday morning we lifted up many prayers and many praises up to the Lord. We are blessed to have two new Sunday school teachers, Sis. Dee Dee is taking on our little kids, and Sis. Jennifer is taking on our teenagers. Our younger kids did a coloring activity and Bible story and the teenargers lesson was “Letting God In” I Samuel 3:10-19 and their memory verse was Revelation 3:20.
Our adult class is studying the book of Acts and was in chapter 7 this week which is Steven’s sermon. Pastor Talbert’s message for our morning service was how God can use the smallest things or people and turn it around and make big things happen out of it. Scriptures were from I Samuel 16:12-13 and Psalms 24:4-6. We had 20 people attend morning service.
During our God seekers class at 6:15, we read scripture from Mark 11:20-24. The bullet points were have faith in God in prayer, believe in the seemingly unbelievable, our God is Big, speak to the mountain, have no doubt in your heart, know that whatever we ask in prayer we will receive it.
Our God Seekers class ended in prayer and we just let the spirit move and carry over into our evening service. Our attendance for evening service was 16. We sang praises and Bro. Jeff led our testimony service. Bro. Lyndon read from Ephesians chapter 1 and Bro. Mike read from Mark 16:15. Many testimonies were given to glorify God and the work He does in our lives. And we have barely just peeled away a layer of Revelation in the evening service series, Pastor Talbert has been doing our Revelation. Come join us and learn something that you maybe didn’t know before. Our evening service starts at 7 p.m. so when you get done at your home church, come on over to our church and join us for a double portion!
I am so excited to announce our women’s ministry coming up at New Hope very soon right around the corner, actually.
All ladies are welcome to join for fellowship and God’s word. Our group name is W.O.W., Women Overcoming the World through Christ. Our first meeting is May 17 at 1 p.m. There will be a greeting gift drawing and a light snack afterward. And then we will continue once a month, the third Thursday of the month. We would be honored by your presence ladies! Also our mini revival is coming up that same weekend. We will have three revival services – Saturday, May 19, 7 pm; and Sunday, May 20, 11 am and 7 pm. Rev. Curtis Tackett will be the guest evangelist. So we at New Hope have so much to praise and thank God for. Lots of exciting things are fixing to happen. Come visit us at New Hope for one of our services.
I pray God’s presence and blessings be with you all this week!
