We had a beautiful Sunday to come to the house of our Lord to worship Him. We always need to praise Him no matter what happens in our lives. God is still God and takes care of us. We could have had a tragedy in our family this week, our youngest son’s house burned and while they lost everything none of them were hurt so I’m just praising God for his goodness to us.
Pastor Buddy brought us another good message from the book of Acts 8-26-38 about Phillip. He was willing to be led by the Spirit to wherever he was sent . Phillip was willing to leave the crowds for one person that needed to hear about Jesus. We need to make ourselves available to people who need to hear about the Lord. One definition of being available is not being otherwise occupied. We sometimes become so occupied with everything else we miss opportunities that God has put in front of us. What do you think hinders us from doing what God wants us to do? Are we intimidated by people or think it’s too big a challenge? We need to realize our God is bigger than anything we face. As we are going through this series in Acts we are learning what a normal Christian should be . The things I learned today were we need to make ourselves available to people who want to know about Jesus, be open to where the Spirit is leading you, and don’t force yourself on people but look for ways God is working in their lives. Pastor Buddy always makes you think about what you are doing for God.
