We came together today to worship and to learn what God wants us to do as Christians. Brother Jon Wilson filled in today in the early service as some of our regular band members were missing this morning and he did a good job. We sang a hymn. He blesses us beyond measure and our soul should sing everyday to Him. Brother Terry Shearer filled in for Pastor Buddy this morning as Pastor Buddy was out ministering to some needs. Brother Terry brought us the message from Acts 7-54-60. about Stephen and how much Stephen was like Christ. When we live like Christ we can die like Christ also. The people of the synagogue or the church of that day didn’t agree with what Stephen was doing and saying so they stirred up the people and began to tell things that weren’t true. Stephen had told them the truth and they didn’t want to hear it, today we tell people to be honest with us and when they are we really don’t like to hear it, do we? Stephen was a ordinary man who followed God and was full of faith and power and the Holy Ghost and he did miracles and great things among the people. Are we more focused on ourselves or on the needs of others if we live like Christ and Stephen we will be more focused on being a servant to them. Sister Wanda taught our Sunday school class on healing this morning on the different ways God works. She did a good job as always. Don’t forget we are having work days this Friday and Saturday at Brother Lester Platt’s church in Theodosia. Come help us and be blessed. There will be a fish fry after work on Saturday.

Thought for the week; If you worked for your employer as you serve God, how long would you have your job?
