The Ava High School golf team placed second among some 19 teams on Tuesday.
The match was played at the Marshfield Country Club.
Ava’s Tristan Haltom was medalist with a score of 71. The Ava team finished with a combined score of 330, second behind Diamond with a 316.
Individual scores for Ava, in addition to Haltom, were Seth Maples 84, Dexter Fish 85, Trey Everett 90 and Jesse Dean 95.
Mtn. View-Liberty finished third with a score of 354 and Fair Grove was fourth at 360.
Other team scores were Houston 363, Willow Springs 371, Lutie 371, Rogersville B 371, Gainesville 376, Mtn. Grove 378, Salem 378, Strafford 383, El Dorado Springs 391, Forsyth 402, Rogersville C 415, Marshfield 418, Hollister 419, Seymour 432 and Seymour 530.
