How the grass is growing these days! We may expect a few cooler days in April and even in May as has happended in years past.
Lilly Ridge Church had its April business meeting Sunday evening after services. There are some new projects underway for improvement.
Also Lilly Ridge had the nursing home service at 4:00 p.m.
The Todd Brown and Rick Jarvis families have our sympathy in their loss.
Roger and Mearl Satterfield fished in a tournament Saturday on Table Rock Lake. Roger stayed over Sunday and Sunday night with his folks. He attended church with his Dad Sunday.
Maxine Smith visited at Gainesville Health Care Sunday with some of the residents.
A memorial stone was placed for William Franklin Davis, Confederate “company A of Missouri Calvary” soldier in the Mitchell Cemetery at Udall, which is combined with original Bunn and Price Cemeteries. He was great-grandfather of Dave Davis, and great-grandfather of Sandra Winfree, who was instrumental in getting the stone erected last Friday.
Since there are so many grub worms easy for birds to find, they are also joined by armadillos that are busy making lots of holes in the yard.
Our trash service comes on Tuesday morning now as Mr. Richardson takes over the job.
Friendly Neighbors Club meets this Thursday, April 5, for their April meeting, at the Health Center basement. There will be a plant sale among members. Maxine Smith is hostess. Karen N. Davis is president of the club. We invited new members. One of our members, Alice Hurley has an April 4th birthday.
We were glad to hear Opal (Miller) Beasley has improved since her surgery in Baxter County Regional Medical Center.
A good thought is “the best way to move mountains is to begin with mole hills and work your way up.”
