March 28 – Wednesday evening service began with singing. Bro. Jeff had the adult Bible study. Sis. Janice had the youth for class. A good discussion was had by all.
April 1 – It’s no joke we came together at Caney to praise and worship the Lord. We began singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone taking prayer requests and praise reports. Prayer was given by Bro. Jim Lafferty. Jack read John 18:28-39 for our devotion. After a very interesting Sunday school lesoon, offering was received.
Praise and Worship began singing. Testimonies were given by Hi Lambeth, Jeff Shipley and Laurena Mitchell. Singing special music were Laurena Mitchell and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from I Sam. 8:1 and 9:1. Too many “Christians” today are wanting and following the world. They have rejected Christ. Jesus wants us to follow His word. We must be born again then the Lord can bless us. Try to please God not man. Bro. Hi sang the closing song. The youth presented Bro. and Sis. Withrow with a handmade card to thank them for the beautiful painting they gave our youth.
Sunday is Easter. If you don’t have a church, please come to Caney. We will be having an egg hunt following services.
Sunday evening began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley opened service taking prayer requets and praise reports. Sis. Lila Roberts led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Hi Lambeth, Janice Lafferty, Melba Austin and Lila Roberts. Our speaker Sunday evening was Jim Lafferty. He brought his thought from Joel 3:16. Jesus is our only hope through all our troubles. The Lord expects us to keep His commandments to praise Him, to serve Him. We’ll see the lost saved and our churches full when we do keep the Lord’s commandments for your good. Bro. Hi sang a very meaninful song. God bless all.
