Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather as we gathered in God’s house this morning. We had many prayer requests to honor, some continue with health issues, our military, the bereaved, our search for a pastor and always, the unsaved and unchurched.
Brother Scottie Eaves was our speaker again this week, and each time he comes he is prepared with a message that speaks to the sad state of the world we are living in and what God expects from His people. We appreciate the Eaves family for helping us out.
We appreciated having Donna Nichols bring her mom, Mae Cox, to church Sunday morning. Mae’s other visitors this week were Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Mae talked with Johnny by phone and also reports Thetis to not be doing very well.
Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock were both seeing their doctors this week. Hopefully they will both be feeling better in the near future. Their visitors were Evelyn Bryan, Pat Smith and Ronda Soto.
Bessie Hall’s company this past week was J.C. Hall and Vicky Burnett, Jewell and Tom Elliott, Kim Clements, Kay Hutchison, Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Dylan and Morgan Clements. Bessie was able to attend church Sunday evening.
Bonita Winingham, Jewell Elliott and Ashley Elliott enjoyed a visit to Bakersville last Tuesday. Bonita returned to her home in Nebraska on Thursday, after spending several days with homefolks.
Albert and Doris Elliott visited Tom and Jewell Sunday afternoon. Martin Hathcock visited one day, also.
Jeff and Kristy Tackett and Steven, of Joplin, spent Saturday and Sunday with Harold and Kay Hutchison.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Clements, Morgan and Dylan, visited Monday after school.
