Dan Wade has announced that he is a candidate for judge of the 44th Circuit over Ozark, Douglas, and Wright counties. The current judge, John Moody, is retiring.
Wade is the son of the late Howard and Lou Anna Wade of Gainesville. He attended the University of Missouri and after the Army he went to law school. He has practiced law in Ava since graduating from law school. He is the founder and senior partner in the Wade Law Firm, LLC.
Wade has extensive legal experience with over 36 years of general trial experience. He was twice elected Prosecuting Attorney and held the chief law enforcement office in Douglas County for six years. He was an adjunct professor at Drury University for 10 years teaching courses in criminology, criminal law, business law, and political science. Wade also helped establish the 44th Circuit Drug Court and served on its original advisory board. In addition, Wade currently serves the communities of Mansfield, Norwood, and Mountain Grove as judge of their Municipal Division of the Circuit Court.
Dan has three sons, Chris and wife, Lindsey Singleton Wade, of Ava; Matt and wife, Jabet Morgan Wade, of Pontiac; and Jeff Wade of Ava; and four grandchildren.
