What a glorious Lord’s Day this past Sunday was, the unseasonably warm sunny weather, people coming out to worship and the pleasure of good fellowship all topped off with plenty of gospel music. You really should have been there!!
After Sunday school we were treated to a special song by Miss Branetta McNese and the morning message entitled, “Christian Worship and Music,” from texts in both the Old and New Testaments. We are encouraged to worship, praise and glorify God and our Savior, in Spirit and Truth through music and song.
Following morning worship services we enjoyed a fellowship lunch, with all who wanted to just visit and stick around for the Fourth Sunday Singing which began at 2:00 p.m. There were ten different churches represented, brothers and sisters in Christ from other denominations, coming together to praise and glorify God. Everyone had a wonderful time.
We did still have your seat available, and we would love to hear your voice, if you care to sing, and if you play an instrument, so much the better. Come and be our guest, we will try to make you feel welcome and really we hope once you come, you’ll make a habit of it. You know you’re making me feel like the tea pot, cup and saucer, with a Maurice Chevalier accent, in the animated epic, “Beauty and the Beast – Put our service to the test – Come on, be our guest!”
