We woke up to a beautiful morning to go worship the Lord and praise Him for everything He does for us . This morning Brother Brian Garrison brought us the morning message as our Pastor and some of our congreation went to Theodosia Mo. to see brother Lester Platt installed as pastor of an Assembly of God Church. We are all praying for you Brother Lester and believing God to do great things there. Brother Brian brought us a good message from John chapter 4- 28-42 about Evangelizing , after the woman at the well had been with Jesus she went to her city and told them about a man who told her everything she had ever did and after they had heard her story they wanted Jesus to stay for two more days and many believed and were changed. Are we living like we are in the last days and trying to get the Gospel to the lost? Do we have a passion for the lost like we have for everything else in our lives? We can talk to anyone about everything else except when it comes to sharing the Gospel then we become afraid we might offend someone. We need a passion for the lost. Jesus told us the harvest was plentiful but the workers are few. We need to be working with a passion to see a lost and dying world saved. There are more than a 100 million people in the U.S. that are unchurched or only go to church once in 6 months, what are we doing to reach those people . We always think let someone else talk to them or let the Pastor reach them, a survey showed that only 1 in 10 people are reached for Christ by the church or the pastor the rest are reached by personal friends or family. Luke 6-45 tells us out of the abundance of our heart the mouth speaketh so the question is what is overflowing in our heart , our job, hunting, fishing, our everyday cares, or the things of God.
The message this morning made me really stop and think about if I spend enough time with Jesus and being in the presence of God so I will know what He wants me to do and have the passion to do it. Remember if you don’t have a church home we would love to have you here with us. Services are Sunday morning at 8:30 and 11:00 Sunday school and 10:00 and we have childrens programs and Wednesday night bible study at 6:00 and youth meeting at 7:00.
Thought for the week; No man can be a workman for God until he is a workmanship of God.
