Opening prayer for our Sunday morning service was by Joie Welker.
After singing, we attended Sunday school classes where we learned from Galatians 3:15. We are an heir of God’s family through faith in His son, Jesus Christ.
Happy Anniversary wishes went out to Harley and Faye Allen on their 60th year of marriage.
Get-well wishes go out to Eric Gallion as he is recuperating from surgery.
Our special songs were by the Swofford and Allen families and a recitation by Narvil Tetrick.
Pastor Hall’s morning message taken from I John 1:7, but if we walk in the light as He is in the light and have fellowship one with another. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins. Nothing in this world is more valuable than the blood of Jesus.
Harley and Faye Allen were so surpised when their families and friends walked in the church to worship with them. After service Gentry Church was honored to participate in the celebration of their annivesary with a big dinner and a large crowd. Afterwards music was provided by Rod Humbyrd, Wayne Anderson, Lyle Ray, Harold Goodnight, Larry Joe Miller, Harley Allen and Juanita Darlington. Forgive me if I missed anyone.
In our evening service, our special song was by quartet of Ronnie Thomas, Brenda Hampel, Rod and Wanda Welker.
Bro. Hall’s message was from Philippians 4:1-7. We need to stand fast in the Lord, let your gentleness show among men, let your requests be known unto God, pray and give thanks for all things, work for the Master and be ready when Christ appears for the church.
