Pastor Oren asked a very important question this last Sunday for all of us. He asked if we trusted God. He read scripture from Proverbs 3:1-8. First, Proverbs tells us to keep God’s commandments in our hearts and let love and faithfulness never leave us. In verse 5 is says to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Submit to God and he will make your path straight. We seem to always want to fix things ourselves but God wants us to turn to Him for guidance and trust. He will work His will for our lives but we must continually seek Him. Don’t ignore Him until it’s your last resort. We are supposed to turn it all over to Him and he will set us on the right path.
Worship shouldn’t be a chore or something we take for granted on Sundays. It’s our way of showing God how much we love Him and how thankful we are for His blessings and His grace in our lives. We lift our worship in song and fellowship every week.
The choir has started to practice for our Easter Choir Special. Remember, every Sunday night at 5 p.m. is practice and we would absolutely love everyone who wants to participate in that to come join in. Lift your worship in song for one of the most joyous holidays that celebrates how Jesus gave the gift of his life then resurrected from the grave for all of us to have eternal life. There’s room for you in the Choir so come on in.
We praise God for the new members who joined the church Sunday morning after their baptism last week. Keep them in your prayers. Be in prayer for the family of Bill Bolding this week during their time of grief. God gives comfort and rest to all who need Him. We praise God for the recovery of Jack Armstrong, who was in church this morning. We need to pray for Lorene Maloney, Kathy Jackson, Alex Matthew to mention a few. We heard that Mona Decker had a little fall and had surgery on her wrist so pray for her quick recovery. Pray for our missionaries here and abroad, as well as our church family and it’s leaders as they bring the message of Christ to all.
Don’t forget we meet for adult Bible study every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and our youth meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Our youth leaders and volunteers do such a great job with our young people. They have a heart for Christ and really want to help our youth in their walk with God.
We invite you to our Church worship, either at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings and at 6 p.m. on Sunday nights. Take a close look at your lives this week and see if our actions measure up to our attitudes. It’s hard to face the fact that we fall short at times, but God forgives and he restores us. Trust Him. See you Sunday and God Bless.
