Most of last week’s meeting was spent putting final details together for the Benefit Volleyball Tournament which was held on Saturday. Thanks to Jayma Potter, Paula Sweeney and Three Rivers Hospice for putting that fundraiser together for us to raise some much needed funding. We appreciate all those who played, worked concessions, etc.
We have another fundraiser coming up on February 27. McSpirit Night at McDonald’s will allow our club to receive 20% of all sales from 4-8 p.m. on that night. Stop by for supper on your way home or bring your family and eat to support a good cause!
At this week’s meeting, we’re looking forward to seeing David Williams and February “Citizens of the Month.”
Mid Winter Conference is coming up on March 2-4 in Springdale, Ark. There are a lot of interesting forums planned as well as some good fellowship and fun. Glenda and Donna have made arrangements to represent our club at that meeting.
Pebbles has agreed to be the club chair and Warren will be the Vice Chair for the Eliminate Project. This is the latest effort by Kiwanis International to raise money and awareness to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. More information will be coming in as we move further into it. Meanwhile, if you would like to know more, you can visit www.The EliminateProject.org.
If you have an interesting program to present, contact Donna Dixon to schedule a date at 683-1918. For all other questions about our club, call Glenda Little at 683-6167.
