Brad Siler, Sunday School Superintendent, began our service with prayer requests for Jim Haden, Jeff Dalton, Jim Harris’s two Uncle Don’s, Zack and Mitch. Van Menzies prayed this prayer. We read our devotional from Matthew 19.
Happy birthday was sung to McCoy Humbyrd, who will be one on February 16th. He is the son of Aaron and Jenin Humbyrd, the grandson of Stan and Kim Humbyrd, the great-grandson of Doyle and Frances Humbyrd and Peggy Miller, all in our church family. Clay McFarlin and Aaron Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings. Several testimonies were shared giving praise to our dear Lord. Peggy Miller and Debbie Pitts gave praises for answered prayers.
Pastor Neal did a presentation of his Africa trip. He shared how it was a life-changing experience for him.
LeaAnn Crum was at the Ava United Methodist Church doing a program for Options Pregnancy Clinic of Ava.
At noon, we shared a fellowship meal for all birthdays and anniversaries in February.
Backpack items were collected for Plainview School.
At 6 p.m. we came together in our fellowship hall for special Valentine’s fun. Nine couples participated in a quiz about each other. There were lots of laughs. Aaron and Jenin Humbyrd won the Applebee’s gift card.
Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer time.
Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study in Exodus.
