A good morning to all our readers. We hope you all had a great New Year’s weekend. Some of the ladies planned a game time on New Year’s Eve at the village. There were eleven people who attended. Those who signed the quest book were Verla Hallmark, Linda Suits, Kathyrn – Chuck – Nancy McGhehey, Lila Kerr, Carolyn Robinson, Emmalyn Stephens, Deloris Dougherty, Bobbye Priddy and Norma Jones. A good time was had by all. There were seven who stayed to watch the New Year in. We send get well wishes to all the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes. Our sympathy to all who has lost loved ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow, our thoughts are with you.
This news too late for last week from the desk of Fae Pruett, visitors of Fae Jane Pruett and her three daughters were here on Tuesday. We had supper at the Sunshine Café. They were Sue Gardner, Ester Todd and Tinsie Paul.
Jackie Nelson visited on Friday. We ate at Ruby Gardens. Fae fixed Christmas dinner for Larry and Wanda Hutchinson, Evelyn Witchey. Other visitors have been Ed Hall, Lois Graham, Norma Jones and Evelyn Witchey.
I enjoyed Connie Burris and the Christmas Carolers, also the treats from the nursing home and the Ava Drug.
This news from the desk of Ellis and Emmalyn Stephens. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Ellis and Emmalyn both had to have surgery during the holidays so we didn’t do much. Thank God for our children. Ellis had hip surgery November 30th and I had to have my pump replaced December 28th. We are getting along pretty good. Emmalyn’s daughter, Jackie, her granddaughter Roshelle and great granddaughter Alyssa from Rogersville came and helped make candy December 10th and our children surprised us with a big 40” TV for Christmas. Have a safe and happy New Year, we send greetings to all who have a big day at this time, may you have a great day with many more birthdays to come.
Visitors of Norma Jones the past week have been Naomi and Jacob Watkins and Chuck Springs. I got phone calls from Peggy Greene, Amy June and Jerry Lee Watkins. We hope everyone has a good week and stays warm as the weather is cooler. Till next week, Jesus loves you.
