Caney came together Wednesday evening to study the word and praise the Lord. Service began with singing.
Bro. Jim began study time taking prayer requests, Sis. Melba Austin led in prayer.
Jim read Job 42:1-9, we need to repent be sorry and not repeat our sins. It will be great to hear Christ say “for him will I accept”.
Everyone had good thoughts and wonderful scriptures.

Sunday school opening with singing, Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He began taking prayer requests and Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer.
Jack read I Corinthians 10:1-13 for our devotion.
After a great Sunday school lesson, happy birthday was sung to Melba Austin, Ramanda Todd, Tracy Shipley, God bless them with many more.
Sis. Tracy is a blessing to our church leading the little ones in song. They are so much fun to watch.
Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Janice Lafferty and Elsie Combs.
Praise and worship began with singing.
Singing special was performed by Melissa Harmon.
Jack did a reading of “Why Jesus is better than Santa”.
Bro. Bill brought the morning message from Jeremiah 31:32-34 and Luke 22:15-20. We are a forgetful people, aren’t you glad He doesn’t forget us? He cares for us, loves us and forgives us.
We took communion this 1st day of the New Year, a very solemn service, a great start on a new year.

Pastor Bill brought the evening message from Habakkuk 3:17-19. Are we bringing forth the fruit in our lives for Christ, just like a fruit tree, we should have fruit that others can see. When the tree in Luke 13 didn’t have fruit, Jesus said to cut it down and burn it.
Sis. Melba closed service with a song. Let’s try to walk closer to the Lord in this New Year that it will be Christ filled.
