Happy New Year! This is the time of year when there are specials on television that summarize the year’s events and put things in order of importance according to the world’s view, and one of the best ways for the new Believer to see how their walk has grown and become fruitful with the Lord is to look back a year’s time and longer and replay in your imagination where you have come from and how far Jesus has brought you.
Comparing ourselves now to where we were a year ago or longer, helps us to see our progress from grace to grace and brings glory to God because the Spirit is the one who is changing us into his own image (2 Cor 3:18). The Bible says in 2 Corinthians chapter 3 that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Halleluia. May we each continue to grow in grace and glorify God who is above all and who loves us.
