Spurlock Family Gathered at Squires Community Center for Christmas Eve Celebration

The Spurlock Family gathered at the Squires Community Center for their annual Christmas Eve Celebration. Descendants of Charles and Addie Spurlock came together again to celebrate Christmas. The host was the Chuck Spurlock family and forty-six were in attendance.

Attending this year was: Annette Clayton, Steve and Thelma Clayton, Ashley and Jake, and Austin, Vicki Nelson, James Nelson, Ebonee and Gage, Troy Clayton, Bill and Mary Lou Hodges, Lea Ann and Neil Crum, Ashton and Erin, Wayne and Sue Kellogg, Dorothy Spurlock, Randy and Renee Spurlock, John, Sarah-Bo and Julia, Monty Valentine, Janice Campbell, Robbie Campbell and Alex, Joan Clark, Chuck Spurlock, Jerry and Judy Spurlock, Rick and Sheila Spurlock, Charlie Spurlock and Beth, Crystal Mayfield and Aeriel, Matt and Artilla Stone, Carolyn and Gary Wolfe, Nathan, Allison, Rachael, Casey and Jessie.

Our cousin, Wayne Kellogg, asked the blessing over the noon meal. Afterwards, Santa’s helper appeared while the children were singing carols. The children enjoyed opening presents, and Chuck gave out a special gift to each family. Of course, the most enjoyable time was spent visiting and reminiscing of days gone by and reconnecting with those we only see once a year.

The Spurlock family has grown and moved to many places across the nation, however plans are already being made to meet again next year at Squires.
