New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

Merry Christmas and God bless! We had a wonderful day in the Lord serving and worshipping our Savior, Jesus Christ.

During our morning service we had five children and ten adults attend Sunday school. The children worked on their skit that they would perform for everyone on Christmas night and the adults studied John, chapter 10.

After Sunday school the children sang and had their penny march. The congregation then joined together in singing hymns. We were blessed to have Sis. Connie play piano for us as our piano player was gone to visit family over Christmas and was unable to attend services. Bro. Mike played a wonderful version of the Twelve Days of Christmas for us. Pastor Scott delivered our morning message from John 3:16-17, God gave us the gift of Jesus. Oh to get back to our first love and our first priority. And to remember that God loves us all so very much that He sent His son into the world that none should ever have to perish, but that we All could be saved. He gave us hope, He gave us purpose, He gave us life more abundantly and gave us wonderful sweet Salvation. Why can’t we all give God the gift of acceptance and let Him be Lord of our lives? It was a wonderful sermon and I thank God for it.

We also had a birthday this last week. Bro. Larry had a birthday on the 22nd so we sang Happy Birthday to him.

We had 22 attend our morning service.

During our evening service we had 35 attend. Our children in the congregation prepared and performed a short play for us called “John 3:16.” They all did a wonderful job. They also sang a song for us called “C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S.” We then had a song service and rejoiced in the Lord with one another. Pastor Scott brought forth our message for the evening from II Thess. 3:17, “Let The Word of God Have Free Course.” It was a great message anointed by God. We also had communion in remembrance of our Lord. Bro. Greg read the scripture over communion from I Corinthians 11. Bro. Lyndon and Bro. Scott prayed over communion. We handed out goodie bags to all who joined us in service. What a blessed service we were given by God. May God bless you all this holiday season and throughout the new year. Amen.
