December 21 – Caney Church came together to praise and worship the Lord. Services began with singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth was our leader this week. Prayer requests were taken. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Bro. Hi read the Christmas Story from Luke 2. This baby whose birthday we celebrate at this time came to die for each and everyone of us. No greater story has been told but understand it is the true word of God not a child’s tale.
Wonderful scripture was read and thoughts were spoken.
A few of us met at Caney Christmas morning. We had a very good Sunday school lesson on how Mary was a humble young lady serving God.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth sang. Bro. Jim Lafferty brought the morning message from Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18, Matthew 2:12 and Isaiah 42:1-4. We should remember Christ every day not just on Christmas.
Wise men still seek Christ. Get to know Christ in the New Year.
