We didn’t have Sunday school today so pastor Joe Lafferty spoke on the 2nd chapter of Luke, verse 15 through 20 and led in prayer – The Christmas Story.
We sang Christmas carols and Joe Lafferty’s children and grandchildren sang as well as Jean and Rick Crawshaw. Danny and Michele Lee’s boys recited The 2nd chapter of Luke about Jesus’ birth. He really does good.
We still need to keep Sue Thomas and Wilma Hampton in our prayers. We don’t understand a lot of things that happens in our Christian life, but God has a plan for each one of us. That’s when our faith gets to work hard to bring peace and understanding for things we don’t understand.
Dave Lafferty dismissed the service in prayer. We had dinner at the church and lots of good fellowship. We don’t get to see the kids very much because everybody had to work. We really had a good time visiting.
We are praying that the New Year will bring eveyone closer to the Lord. We always want to be ready.
