We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends.
On Friday, Bob and Linda McCleary got word that Bob’s mother, Mary McCleary, had passed away which saddened our hearts. Later that day several of the family visited with Bob and Linda and brought in food. Others dropped by and visited.
Bob and Linda McCleary spent Christmas Eve at daughter, Carol Johnson’s with 34 family members in attendance for a gift exchange and recalling many years of memories of family times.
Saturday afternoon Bob and Linda McCleary visited with Justyn and Tiffany Davis, Tyler and Riley. Saturday night they attended the Life Church Christmas program. Buster Davis, a grandson, played in the band. They really enjoyed hearing him.
I received serveral calls this week wishing me a Merry Christmas, Max and Pauline Singleton from Washington, Mary Eads from Joplin and Hugh and Violet from Winslow. Linda got a call on Christmas Day from granddaughter, Stellena and girls from Oklahoma. Joe and Trina Wilson, Stephanie and Brittney visited with Jack and Barbara on Christmas night.
On Christmas Eve Jack and Barbara Breshears and Miracle had supper with Dwayne and Teresa Nash. After opening gifts we enjoyed watching the little ones play with their toys. Those enjoying the evening with Dwayne and Teresa were Don and Reba Nash, Tim and Alyssa Barcus, Owyn and Olyvia Barcus, Aymee and James Nelson, Ebanee and Gage, Jack and Barbara Breshears and Miracle.
Preston had his boys, William and Connor, with him several days during Christmas vacation. They also enjoyed being with grandparents, Jack and Barbara and Miracle before returning to Arkansas.
On Christmas morning I had breakfast at my house for Bob and Susie Miller, Bob and Linda McCleary and Jack and Barbara Breshears and Miracle. After we had breakfast of sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy with other trimmings we opened our stockings. Everyone had a good visit.
After church on Christmas Day Jack and Barbara had dinner with Terry and Delayna Dry, Chance, Kayla, Taylor and Tenley. Leroy and Eddie Dry stopped by to visit. We all enjoyed playing with the girls.
We attended Mary McCleary’s visitation and graveside services in Mansfield on Tuesday at the Holman-Howell Funeral Home and at the Mansfield Cemetery.
Our prayers are with those who are ill at this time of the year.
