Happy New Year!
Our menu for the week is: Monday, January 2—CLOSED for holiday. Tuesday, January 3—Beef stew, cheese biscuit, salad bar, fruit. Wednesday, January 4—Pork chop, dressing, mixed vegetables, hot roll, cake. Thursday, January 5—Mac and cheese with beef, beets, salad bar, sherbet. Friday, January 6—Fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, jell-o with fruit.
Our activities include, but are not limited to: Wednesday and Friday, OATS bus to Ava; Thursday Douglas County Health Department blood pressure screenings at 9:30. The Grace Health Care foot clinic appointments have moved from the first and third Thursdays to the second and fourth Thursdays for the month of January only.
Our character word for this month is TRUSTWORTHY. Are you worthy of trust or belief; are you honest, reliable, responsible, dependable and faithful? Be an example for those of younger years.
Winners in the pitch tournament on Tuesday are: Millie Heavener (225), Margaret Brill (212) and Sybil Heckendorn (205). Congratulations ladies!
