Merry Christmas to everyone who reads our local news columns.
The Masonic Christmas dinner at Robert Burns’ Lodge Saturday at 1:00 p.m. was well attended and enjoyed by everyone present, certainly no one went away hungry. We appreciate the Masons! I was fortunate to have my four children present. They were Dave and Karen Davis from Udall, Marlyn Pitcock, with granddaughter, also Lyndon and Linaia Pitcock, son Tyler, and daughter, Mindy Jean Wright with her four month old daughter, Chloe Mae, from Springfield, along with my daughter, Kris Luebbert and her granddaughter Alexus Luebbert from Lindsborg, KS, and Salina, KS. They all came home with me, and did a lot of raking and burning leaves.
E.W. and Ina Friends daughter is in Springfield hospital and they went up there to be with her Sunday night.
Judy Breyne has moved into town from this neighborhood. She expects her grandsons to come visit her soon.
Friends of Joe Gaddy were glad he was released to come home from Cox South after a stay there for pneumonia. Welcome home, Joe!
It was good to see Wilma Fish at the Masonic Christmas dinner and we enjoyed her musical talents. It was good to get a call from her Sunday evening, from her home in Ava.
Our best wishes to Kimberly Hand and husband, whose baby was taken to Little Rock hospital. Our prayers are with them.
Kris Luebbert and Alexus, and I went to Mtn. Home Sunday afternoon.
James and Bea Link had Bea’s sons and families from Tennessee visiting them, and Bea took them out for their pre-Christmas dinners.
With weather news of snow and blizzard conditions across New Mexico and western Kansas folks had better be preparing for a weather change.
Karen (Satterfield) Livingston has a birthday coming up on Christmas Eve, and her parents an anniversary on December 29th. Ronnie Carroll, of Springfield, has a December 29th birthday.
Mark and Rhonda Suter and family plan to spend Christmas Eve at Alva and Phyllis Hollingsworths and Christmas Day with the Suter families.
Best wishes to Jean Suman as she wasn’t feeling good Monday.
