Christmas is almost here. Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I think most churches had their Christmas programs last night, the 18th. We did at Goodhope Baptist Church. The youth did a good job, showing what Christmas is all about.
Norma Cross had dinner with Juanita Herrell one evening last wee. They are life long friends. Norma visited with Peggy Jenkins at the nursing home one day.
Dick and I visited with Danny and Beth Maloney in Sparta last week. They gave us two bags of home grown sweet potatoes. They are so good. I made a sweet potato pie. We like them better then pumpkin pie.
Last Wednesday Danny and Teresa Davis, Dick and I went to Branson. We had dinner at Famous Dave’s B.B.Q. on the Landing. We had a very good trip. Tony and Lisa Richards have been sick with this stuff going around. They were in church yesterday, but Lisa sounded awful. Hopefully they’ll get better soon.
Plainview School had their Christmas program the evening of the 5th. The students did a wonderful job with their parts. Our hearts go out to Brenda and the staff for all the things they prepare for the students.
I had a good visit with Freda Richards yesterday. She is feeling better. She went to watch her great grandson, that was in the Christmas program Sunday in Ava. She told me Christine, her daughter-in-law, and Sarah her granddaughter came down from Rolla Friday and cleaned her house. She was so thankful since she hasn’t felt well for a long time.
