This Lord’s Day was truly a blessing to many of us who had the privilege of being in his service. After Sunday school we were treated to a special by Branetta and Beverly McNiece with direction from Lola Mayberry, followed by a song from Linda Prock, accompanied by Sandra Davis on the piano.
Our morning message then was, “The Annunciation of Christ,” from the Gospel of Luke. We also heard about the recent attacks on the Christian faith by a group of atheists based in Wisconsin whose goal is to have any reference to Christ or God the Father removed from public view, while allowing all the fanciful representations of the “Holiday Season” to become the norm. How sad that some people wish to impose their lack of vision upon others.
It does not take an Einstein, to understand that in fact, “Jesus Is the Reason For the Season.” By the way that’s why they called it “Christ – mas” in the first place.
After morning worship services we enjoyed a fellowship lunch and then practiced for our upcoming Christmas Program, which will be next Sunday morning, at 11:00 AM. Following our practice we loaded up the church bus and went caroling. Everyone had a great time, you would have to if you had come along, but we would have had to take another bus, every seat was full.
Sunday the 25th, we have a seat, just for you. Come and praise the Lord with us, for that most precious gift, His Son.
