Jason Lamar Burkdoll, 45 years, 3 months, and 3 days old, passed away on Dec. 7, 2011 at his home.
Jason was born Sept. 4, 1966 in Mansfield, Mo., to Johnny and Carolyn “Carrie” (Mitchusson) Burkdoll, Sr.
Jason was a lifelong resident of the Ava community. He was a graduate of Ava High School. Jason had worked in commercial construction.
He loved animals and especially horses. He enjoyed training and breaking young colts. He was attending the Cross Point Church.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lowell Burkdoll Sr.
Jason is survived by his mother, “Carrie” Burkdoll, Squires, Mo.; three sons, Austin and Alex Burkdoll, of Cowetta, Okla., and Shane Burkdoll, Stockton, Mo.; a brother and wife, Johnny Jr. and Phyllis Burkdoll, Squires, Mo.; a sister, Joan Burkdoll, Squires, Mo.; special friend, Jeannie Waldrath; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Jason were Monday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. in the Cross Point Church, Ava, Mo. Officiating was Pastor Ron Wallace. The family requests memorials to Murray Cemetery, Cross Point Church or to the family as a love offering. Cremation services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
