On Dec. 12, Melissa Evans, 38, of Ava, was found guilty of harassment by use of a telephone in a one-day jury trial in Douglas County.
Evans was charged in March with a two-count grand jury indictment of tampering with a victim and harassment.
In the circuit court trial presided over by Circuit Judge John Moody, Evans was acquitted of victim tampering but convicted for harassment.
Sentencing is set for Douglas County Law Day on Jan. 3.
The state was represented by Douglas County Prosecutor Roger Wall; the defendant was represented by public defender Kevin Babcock.
The jury deliberated for approximately 45 minutes before returning the decision on Monday.
