A few members met last Thursday night at 6 p.m. for our monthly evening meeting at Sonshine Cafe. Some chose to skip the meeting and worked on Friday night at the Friday Night Frolic on the square. We appreciate John getting the booth moved for us. Donna and Connie did the shopping on Friday morning. Working the event were Glenda, Donna, Connie, Dolores and Pebbles. Nonmember Jayma Potter also stopped by for a while to lend a hand which we appreciate.
We will be picking up the toys at Ozarks Family Vision Center after our noon meeting Thursday. We’ll have to sort through and match them with those on our list which Glenda will be getting this week. We may have to do a little more shopping, then it will be time for wrapping and delivery.
We are actively pursuing new membership! We are conducting a club membership contest which runs from November 1 until December 22. The member who gets the most recruits to sign up with a paid membership will receive a $50 gift card. Once a recruit is signed up with that paid membership, he or she will then be allowed to enter the contest and be in the running for the $50 gift card. This week will be a busy week in the life of our club. On Monday, we have two Terrific Kids presentations to do at Ava Elementary. The first will be a make up because supplies were on backorder. The second one will be current November Terrific Kids.
On Tuesday, some of us will be attending the Chamber Luncheon hosted by Subway at noon. On Thursday, we are expecting to see David Williams and December “Citizens of the Month” for our meeting at noon.
