All Aboard the Polar Express
Bears Den wishes to extend holiday cheer to the Ava Community by offering Polar Express Family Nights at the Ava Performing Arts Center on Dec. 19 and 20.
The night will be filled with events centered around the popular children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allburg.
Parents and children are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the festivities. After listening to the book, we will watch The Polar Express make its magical journey to the North Pole.
Students will meet Santa, enjoy treats, and receive a special gift at the end of evening. Doors open at 6:15 and the journey will begin at 6:30.
Make plans now to attend The Polar Express either night at no cost to your family!
4th Grade Students
Dissect a Frog
Fourth grade students and Bears Den teacher, Mrs. Chantelle Emmerson, dissected a frog and studied its anatomy.
Students identified and held the frog’s organs. “The students were very curious and wanted to explore beyond lesson. They were most intrigued with the leg muscles and eyeballs,” said Mrs. Emmerson.
