Sweden Church

The first few sentences help the reader decide if he/she wants to read further.  This sentence and the next two have to do with food—both spiritual and physical.  This Sunday, December 18 our church offers food for the spirit with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and Morning Worship at 11 a.m.  Also, there will be food for the body with Christmas Dinner after the worship service.  If you are in need of either kind of food, won’t you come and join us?  There is always plenty of both and, everyone knows, that some of the best fixin’s are sitting on the tables at church dinners all over the country.

Also, as everyone knows, Christmas is on Sunday this year.  Sweden Church will have singing and a service at 11 a.m. only, no Sunday school and no evening service.  Come and spend an hour.  After all, Jesus is the reason for the season.  (Just had to say that.)

Mathematicians preach interesting sermons.  It’s a kind of spiritual logic.  Do this and this and this and it follows that the result is that.  Our preacher has inspired me to work harder to learn as much as I can about the Bible.  And, I am very grateful for each and every sermon he presents us with.  Today it was about checklists, processes, faith, grace, and that true joy is living in the center of God’s will.  The text was from Matthew 7:13-14 but it was also peppered with more verses from chapter 8, particularly the story about the centurion.  It is a sermon worth hearing over and over.  I have a copy.  Remember, Jesus marvelled at the centurion.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Copies of the sermon are available and free.  Call (4l7) 543-6219 to get a copy.  Have a God-blessed, God-inspired, and God-filled week.
