Sandy Church News

The first Sunday in December a group of adults along with the children’s mission group went to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center to sing carols and hand out gifts.  At 2 p.m. Pastor Neal did a service also.

The second Sunday in December at 4 p.m. we had a large crowd for the Annual Community Christmas Dinner.

This Sunday we will have caroling to shut- ins and delivering fruit baskets, our Christmas program, the gifts from the prayer partners and treats for all.  We pray the blessing of the good Lord in all we do for without Him all is vain.

We began Sunday morning with a small group to pray at 9:30.

Prayer requests were given for a little two year old girl, the Lee family, Donna and Wayne Grigg, Chuck, Jeanie, the nation of Israel, our nation, leaders and our military people.

Little Wyatt Harris made his second visit to church.  He is the son of Jim and Kendra Harris, the little brother of Colton and the great grandson of Bob Siler.

Kevin Hodges prayed the offertory prayer as he and Brad Siler received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.

Danny Johnson led us in songs and testimonies were given about the blessings of the Lord.

Pastor Neal prayed and read from Luke 12, the watching servant.  Working and watching should characterize the Christian.

Let us look and very seriously consider how we celebrate Christmas.

Pastor Neal gave us homework—to read all the scriptures on watch and watching concerning our Lord’s return.  He is coming again for those who are watching for Him.  Are we watching or are we too busy?

Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. we have special prayer time and each Wednesday at 7 p.m. we have Bible study in the book of Exodus.  Come and be with us.  You are always welcome.
