Some of the ladies baked cookies for the Cookie Walk and Home Tour for the Mtn. Grove Christian Academy fundraiser Saturday, Dec. 3.
Bro. Rick’s sermon today was from John 1 and Matthew 3. He stated, “We have been on a 50 years’ vacation from God; it is now time to do God’s business.” He told of many positive things about the Lord in his life. He said, “I am truly blessed!” People need to hear all of us say it. When we see a beautiful sunset or a beautiful day, we need to say, “Look what the Lord hath done, let us rejoice and be glad.”
He also gave many examples about children who are little ladies and gentlemen with good manners. They have been taught these important manners from the very beginning. He ended his sermon by stating, “We all need to stand up for what is right.”
Mark your calendars for next Sunday, Dec. 11, Christmas Program and Potluck Dinner. Come as early as 10 a.m. Questions: Please call Bro. Rick Batten at 683-5657 or 250-0918; Shelby Housley 746-4743 or Shelby Moore 746-4751.
