Patrick “Pat” George Bohn, 65

Patrick George Bohn, 65 years, passed to heaven on Dec. 6, 2011 at his home in Ava, Mo.

Pat was born Nov. 29, 1946 in St. Louis, Mo., to George and Carol (Rowbottom) Bohn.

Pat was a resident of the Ava community since 2000, moving from St. Louis. He was a land surveyor and owned and operated Land Development Services Co.

On Aug. 17, 1968 Pat and Patricia “Trish” O’Dowd were united in marriage in St. Louis County, Mo., and to this union two children were born.

Pat was a Vietnam veteran and served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Ava VFW Post 5993. He was also a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Ava. Pat enjoyed experimental aircraft and woodworking. He was a gun enthusiast and was especially devoted to his family.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom.

Pat is survived by his wife, Patricia “Trish” Bohn, Ava, Mo.; two children, Dawn Michelle Bohn and Christopher Bohn, both of Ava, Mo.; two grandchildren, Aryan Christopher Bohn and Riley Jo Bohn, both of Ava; nine siblings and their spouses, Carole Bohn, Dr. Timothy and Shelley Bohn, of Oklahoma, Daniel and Robin Bohn, St. Louis, Mo., Bonnie and Tom Forrester, St. Louis, Mo., Peggy and Joe Ebert, St. Louis, Mo., George and Lorna Bohn, of Oklahoma, Robyn Bohn, of Texas, Mark and Jackie Bohn and Charmaine and Scott Bender; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Pat will be Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Ava, Mo., with military honors by Ava VFW Post 5993. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Officiating will be Fr. Paul Wightman. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
