Golda Marie Goin, 92 years, 11 months, and 8 days old, passed to heaven on Dec. 5, 2011 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.
Golda was born Dec. 28, 1918 in Douglas County, Mo., to Jim and Eva (Johnson) Scribner.
On Feb. 19, 1938 Golda and Truman Goin were united in marriage in Oldfield, Mo., and to this union three children were born.
She was a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Golda loved raising a garden, especially tomatoes, cooking and quilting. Making pies was her specialty and especially her lemon pies. Her joy was spending time with her grandchildren, her church family and friends.
Golda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Truman, one son, Ronald Goin, two brothers, two sisters.
Golda is survived by one son, Gale and Sue Goin, Oldfield, Mo.; and one daughter, Roberta and Mike Patrick, Saint Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Art Scribner, Hemmett, Calif.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Golda were Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Mound Baptist Church on T Highway with burial in the Hall Cemetery at Mound. Visitation was Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Officiating was Pastor Jason Wilson. Memorials may be made to Hall Cemetery at Mound.
