Gary Ray Lee, 58 years, 2 months, and 9 days old, passed to heaven on Dec. 5, 2011 at Seymour, Mo.
Gary was born Sept. 27, 1953 in Houston, Mo., to Robert “Bob” and Fern (Privett) Lee.
Gary was employed with Seymour Special Road District and had worked with them for some five years.
On Dec. 4, 1995, Gary and Judy were united in marriage in Marshfield, Mo. Gary was a member of the Harmony Freewill Baptist in Seymour, Mo.
He enjoyed team roping, working with his horses, attending his grandkids’ ballgames and family get-togethers. Everyone loved calling him by his endearing name, “Chief.”
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Richard and Eva Halsey; a son, Chad; and a grandson, Brady Lee.
Gary is survived by his wife, Judy Lee, Seymour, Mo.; two sons Tim Lee and his daughter, Bailey, Ava, Mo., and Dewayne and Karen Ducker, Seymour, Mo.; a daughter, Rhonda and Ken Laub, Rogersville, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Crystal Lee, Ava, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Krystina, Dewayne Jr., Bailey, Donovan, Nick, Brandon, Camryn, Kaitlyn, Caden and David; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Aiden; four siblings, Herbert and Rosell Lee, Seymour, Mo., Norman and Jackie Lee, Lebanon, Mo., Carol and Dave Hughes, Marshfield, Mo., and Carl and Stacy Lee, Seymour, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Richard and Sue Halsey; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Gary and Chad will be Friday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo., with burial in the Lee Cemetery at Dogwood.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Darron Lansdown. Memorials may be made to Lee Cemetery at Dogwood Community.
