Wednesday evening we came together at Caney singing Christmas carols. The adults talked about how we each will stand in judgment on our own. The young people began studying the Ten Commandments a very important study.
Sunday School began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone and prayer requests and praise reports were given. We have many concerns, but we have much to be thankful for. Sis. Elsie Combs led us in prayer.
Jack read Hebrews 13:17-22 for our devotion.
After a wonderful Sunday School lesson Happy Anniversary was sung to Hi and Doris. God bless them. Sixty-one years together is a great accomplishment. Sis. Tracy led the young ones in several songs. They are a blessing. Testimonies were Jeff Shipley, Venessa Mills and Melba Austin.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Jim Lafferty sang a special. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Phil. 4:4-8. When do you talk with the Lord? Is it only when you’re in need or want something? Do your remember to thank Him? We have so much to be thankful for. Lets be thankful everyday.
We were glad for all that came out today. You blessed us by being here. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and good food after service today. Our youth went Christmas shopping for those less fortunate today. It was a great way to learn a good Biblical lesson.
We cancelled service so church people could attend Christmas programs elsewhere.
