Barbara Tidwell Warren, 93

Barbara Pearl Tidwell Warren, 93 years, passed to heaven on Nov. 30, 2011 at Sarcoxie Nursing Center.

Barbara was born Nov. 11, 1918 in The Dalles, Ore., to Roy and Myra (Tegarden) Clibon.

She was a resident of Sarcoxie, Mo., moving from Mansfield and Macomb, Mo., communities.

On May 24, 1936 Barbara and William “Bill” Tidwell were united in marriage in Dufur, Ore., and to this union six daughters were born.

Barbara was a retired seamstress and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Sarcoxie. Her joy was designing and making quilts for all her family and friends. Many times the quilts were given as wedding and Christmas gifts and all other occasions. She loved spending time with all her family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Tidwell; two grandsons, Richard “Rick” Joe Graham and Doug William Haynes; one granddaughter, Kellye Lee Haynes; two great-great-granddaughters, Chelsea Stacy and Addison Carter; sons-in-law, Joe Graham and Clarence Downing. She was also married to Wilbur Warren, who preceded her in death.

Barbara is survived by six daughters, Joanna Lee Haynes-Tidwell, Memphis, Tenn., Susie Ellen Graham, Mansfield, Mo., Mary Lorraine and Carl Goss, Ava, Mo., Lenora Mae Downing, Sarcoxie, Mo., Donna Bernice and Brick Reed, Sarcoxie, Mo. and Lois Myra and Danny Douglas, Macomb, Mo. “Grammie” has 18 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Barbara were Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Dann Cemetery at Brownbranch. Visitation was Saturday, 9 a.m. to service time, in the funeral home. Officiating were Rev. Danny Douglas and Rev. Rob Hodson. Memorials may be made to Dann Cemetery, Sarcoxie Nursing Center Activity Fund or Gideons International.
