Smallett/Walnut Grove Church

Sunday morning service was opened with the musicians playing some old hymns.

Prayer requests were then taken and prayer offered then some congregational hymns were sung.

Brother Roberts then introduced little miss Flicia Michelle Coble who made her arrival on November 26, 2011. She is a beautiful little girl.

Brother Roberts brought the message from II Kings 4:1-7, “God Will Make A Way.”

Sunday evening was our Christmas/Thanksgiving dinner at Walnut Grove Church with lots of good food and good fellowship.

Enjoying a family day on Sunday after church were Bob and Nora Edwards, Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra and Shelden Walker, Shawn, Miranda and Alexis Swearengin. After decorating and letting off balloons at Walnut Grove Cemetery in honor of Freddie Edwards birthday, they went back to the Edwards for lunch and then an afternoon of cookie making.

On Saturday evening, my brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, came and brought fried chicken and I made mashed potatoes and coleslaw to go with it and we enjoyed supper together.

Visitors in the home of Delmar and Margaret Rosseau were Donna Bannister, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, Pauline Okhuysen, Stacie Hamby, Jack and Barbara Breshears.

On Monday evening, the ladies from Walnut Grove Church, met and enjoyed snacks and gift exchange and revealed their secret sisters of 2011. We then drew names for the year of 2012.

If you don’t have a home church, we welcome you and invite you to come to Walnut Grove Church.

Remember the reason for the season.
