Red Bud News

A good morning to all our readers. We hope everyone had a good week even with the rain, snow and some places ice.

We send get-well wishes to the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes.

Our sympathy to all who have lost loves ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.

Please remember the Lee family in you prayers as Gary and Chad were killed Monday morning in a train week at Seymour.

This news from the desk of Lois Graham. Lois was surprised on Saturday when her brother, Floyd, came by for a visit. Floyd Graham also visited Ed Hall, Brenda Garrison of Thornfield and Gina Tompkins and Alyssa of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma visited Sunday evening.

No other news turned in, but Norma Jones went to Mansfield with Steven for a birthday party for Jacob and Tessa. Several family members and friends were there. A good time was had by all and cake and ice cream was served to the guests. Amy brought Norma home after the party was over and boy did it rain. I was like a drowned rat when I got to the house.

We send greetings to all who has had a birthday at this time. There is a lot more lights and other things added to the village for the upcoming holidays. And the Christmas cards are being placed in the activity room mailboxes. Remember to check yours. The box number is the same as your apartment.

We want to say welcome to our new residents. Visitors of Norma Jones the past week has been Steven, Challa, Tessa, Jacob, Lane, Ralissa, Ronald, Arlen, Naomi Watkins and Emmalyn Stephens. Ellis is at the nursing home after his hip surgery. Ellis and Emmalyn Stephens spent all of last week in Springfield at the hospital for Ellis’s hip surgery. He came to the nursing home on Saturday.

For our exercise classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, be your own judge as to the weather on coming out as the sidewalks can be slick and we don’t want anyone to fall and get hurt.

Well, I will sign off and try to get busy doing something that needs to be done. Have a safe week and try to stay warm. Jesus loves you.
