Oak Grove Church

After Sunday school and before morning worship services this past Lord’s Day, we heard specials from Ella Faye Mitchell and Branetta Macanese.

The morning message was “Those Days and These Days” from our text in Matthew 3:1-12. We studied the similarities between “Those Days and These Days,” in relation to scriptural teaching and the people then and now. It is truly amazing how many parallels can be drawn between the two, and even how much we have changed, yet remain the same.

After morning services we had a fellowship lunch and then got together to practice for the upcoming Christmas program. We also made plans to go caroling again this year on the afternoon of December 18. If you like to sing praises to God, and would like to join us in spreading the love and joy of our Lord’s birth, come caroling with us after morning services on the 18th.

Our evening message was a study of Psalm 96, “Sing Unto The Lord, A New Song.” If you would like to do exactly that, come and join us in worship services next Sunday. As Tom Baudette would say, “we’ll keep a seat open for ya!”
