I talked with Bonnie Phipps Sunday evening and she said she didn’t make it to church, but was doing okay.
Violet Blakey came by last Monday morning and James Blakey brought Jett by and Tara picked him up when she got off from work, then I took my news in and delivered some eggs and went by Judy Ross’ and gave her Monica’s dues.
Tara Coonce and Jett were in my home last Tuesday. Mark came by Wednesday and that afternoon I took my food over to the lodge hall for the O.E.S. sale for Thursday and Friday. Those visiting in my home Thursday were Tara, Jett, James, Joel and Monica Reemes.
Marie Dickey came over Friday and took me to the lodge hall to help with the O.E.S. sale then she brought me home. Saturday night by 10 p.m. I had six-tenths of an inch of rain in my rain gage and then by noon on Sunday I had seven-tenths of an inch of rain. My total was one and three-tenths of an inch of rain.
Don and Evelyn Bryan’s Christmas party was well attended. There were 18 who attended. The supper was wonderful and she had plenty of dessert after everyone was through eating. We played a game called Going To Grandmother’s House. The object of the game was to take something with you. We had to keep our minds sharp or we were out. We then drew a present out of a pile in the middle of the floor or got one of the presents that someone else had picked. After all the fun everyone went home, but with the memory of wonderful time.
Mary Martha Williams and Hellen Blakey attended the funeral of Barbara Tidwell Warren. She was Mary Goss’ mother.
Kelsey and Mark Weston Blakey came and brought me eggs for the girls Sunday. Dennis Posey ran to town for me and picked up some things to finish my pea salad for Sunday.
We had our Christmas dinner Sunday and we had a good turn out and the food was delicious.
Keep all those prayers going for all the sick folks because the list keeps growing.
My prayers and sympathy go out to the Barbara Tidwell Warren family and the Harold Dye family and all the rest that have lost a loved one.
Keep praying for our nation and our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training.
