As noted in the Bears Den Parent Handbook:
“The program is in session Monday through Friday at all schools. Limited transportation will be provided on the days the Bears Den is in session. (There is no Bears Den on vacation days.)
The Bears Den will be open for one hour after the time school is released on days of inclement weather. The Bears Den will be in session on regularly scheduled half days, as noted on the school calendar.”
A.C.T. prep night classes:
Ava High School students are invited to sign-up in the high school office to attend the A.C.T. prep classes next week at the Bears Den. Classes will focus on tested areas and test taking strategies.
Monday, Mrs. Haltom will focus on Science; Tuesday, Mrs. Harvill will focus on English/Reading; Thursday and Friday, Mrs. Decker will focus on Math. Mr. VanNess will provide test taking tips nightly.
Students should have already registered to take the Dec. 10 A.C.T. If the student attends all of the Bears Den A.C.T. prep classes AND exceeds their past score OR the Ava R-I District average, their A.C.T. fees will be reimbursed.
