The Higher Calling

The cold has settled in, the Thanksgiving holiday has passed, and we are on our way toward celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus, the savior of the world.

This is also the time family and friends gather together.  As much as the time together can be pleasant, there may be times of tension when personalities clash or events happen outside our control, which leads us into a preview of next week’s lesson about how burdens can be lifted and you will be set free, when you choose to walk in forgiveness, and we will walk together through the process of how to forgive.  (There is a process, but the first choice is to choose to forgive).  For example, have you ever been hacked off at someone, I mean really angry, and as a child of God you obediently forgive the offender, but just like in the movies, the scene keeps playing in your head?  How in the world can you combat your own thoughts?  Are they your thoughts or the enemy’s thoughts?

We will get into how the Bible says to combat these type of thoughts successfully, and Lord willing each reader will come away with an understanding of where the battle is and who we are actually fighting, and by Christmas time you will be prepared for victory through forgiveness.

The first step is to choose to forgive.

Until next time, God bless you and your loved ones.
