New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

Our Wednesday night study group has finished the book of Genesis. We started the book of Exodus and went through the first four chapters.

Sunday morning we had 21 attend services. We lifted up our requests for prayer to the Lord. We have several sick and want to remember all the churches and nursing homes.

The children studied over the Fruits of the Spirit in Sunday school and the adults studied John, chapter 6. After Sunday school the kids sang two songs for us and had their penny march. We all joined in together and sang hymns. We heard some wonderful testimonies and seen proof of prayers answered. We were glad to have Sam back in church with us and Sis. Anna came through her surgery and was able to be in church with us. Pastor Scott brought forth the word from Jeremiah 1:1-8. He hit home about God’s calling on each and everyone of our lives and how important we are to God. We aren’t any more important than our other brothers and sisters or any less. The members, the teachers, the preachers, singers, all God’s people should work together as a well oiled machine edifying one another. We have a significant part to play in life, a job for us all, age doesn’t matter, male or female. God calls us all according to His will.

Our attendance for Sunday evening was 17. We started out with prayer and moved along to song service. Bro. Larry, Pastor Scott, Bro. Lyndon and Sis. Virginia did a special for us and Bro. Mike read to us from John 6:35-38.

Our evening message brought forth by Pastor Scott was from the book of James 1:1-14. Be thankful for the trials and the temptations, and lean unto God for strength. Through it all without a doubt He will pull you through.

Our service times at New Hope are Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Sunday school at 10:00 a.m., morning service at 11 a.m. and evening servce at 7 p.m. God bless each and everyone of you and have a wonderful week!
