Elsie LaVerne Cunningham, 89, of Moline, Ill., formerly of Ava, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Edgewood Baptist Church, in Rock Island, Ill.
The visitation was from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Moline.
Memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church.
Elsie was born on Sept. 27, 1922, in Ava, Mo., to O.K. and Gladys Davis Welton. She married Robert M. Cunningham on July 22, 1939, in Hartville, Mo. She was a homemaker and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Cunningham, Moline, Ill.; a son, Jerry (Ann) Cunningham, Bloomington, Ill.; four grandchildren, Quint, Brooke, David and Emily; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Nadine (Charles) Letsinger, Mansfield, Mo.; and a daughter-in-law Donna Cunningham, Crown Point, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert.
