Ava R-I School legal

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the Ava R-1 School District of Ava, MO that two members will be elected to the Board of Education for a term of three years each at the April 3, 2012 election. Candidates must be at least 24 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a resident taxpayer of the school district, and will have resided in Missouri for a minimum of one year preceding the election. The opening date for candidates to file for these positions is December 13, 2011, 8:00 a.m. Candidates may file during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the district administration office located at 507 NE 3^rd St. The closing date for filing is January 17, 2012, 5:00 p.m. The office will be closed December 22-January 3 for the Christmas Holidays and may be closed at other times due to inclement weather.
