Aubie Ray Naugle, 78

Aubie Ray Naugle, 78 years, 11 months, and 13 days old, passed to heaven on Nov. 19, 2011 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.

Aubie was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Grabeel, Mo., to Orville and Helen (Bushong) Naugle.

Aubie was a resident of Mansfield, Mo., moving from Squires, Mo., where he lived most of his life. Aubie worked in road construction in Kansas for a few years before retiring as a dairy farmer in the Squires community.

On June 17, 1955 Aubie and Shirley Long were united in marriage in Gainesville, Mo., and to this union six children were born. He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Aubie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley in 2006; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; two brothers, Edward and Rex; and three sisters, Bonnie, Alline and Arlene.

Aubie is survived by six children, Joyce Kleweno and husband, Bob, Ensign, Kan., Janet Dowler, Sand Springs, Okla., Kathy Jantzen and husband, R.J. Cimarron, Kan., Gary Naugle and wife, Pam, Mounds, Okla., Dennis Naugle and wife, Amy, Mansfield, Mo., and Billy Naugle and wife, Pat, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Naugle and Joe Naugle; a brother-in-law, Troy Long; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Aubie were Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Noble Cemetery, Wasola, Mo. Visitation was Monday, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating was Don Gardner. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
