Gentry Church

We are thankful to see Joie Welker back walking without his crutches. He opened our service with prayer.

Our Sunday school lesson was on praying and to focus on the proper attitude regarding prayer. Our prayer should not be for our will and desires to be fulfilled but for God’s will to be done in our lives and on earth.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to Manda Rippee and Erin Allen.

There will not be any Wednesday night services this week due to Thanksgiving.

Our special song and reading was by Narvil Tetrick and Janice Young.

Our Christmas and Thanksgving dinner will be December 3 at 6 p.m. at the church so mark that on your calendar.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Matthew 5:13-16. Let you light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. He is our Lord and we were bought by a price. You’ll never have peace and harmony without Him.

Our evening service opened with good prayer and singing then some good testimonies about being so thankful to God.

Bro. Hall did some scripture readings from Revelations 22:1-7 and then more testimonies.

Happy Thanksgiving wishes from Gentry Church to everyone and may you be thankful for all the blessings God has given you.
