The Chateau Charment (the castle in Olga) will host their first annual Christkindlmarket on Dec 2 & 3 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  A German market held in the courtyard castle, complete with Charles Dickens Style Carolers, Saint Nick and plus food and wine tasting!  Come for a fun experience and enjoy the castle lights. For more information call the Chateau at 767-2233.

Also, the annual community Christmas Eve Service will be held at the castle on Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. This is always a great time to come together as a community and celebrate Christmas. This will be the 3rd annual service and our family always enjoys attending and participating. This is a non-denominational service and many congregations are represented. It has been a blessed event each year that it has been held.

I am sorry that I have not had a report the past few weeks as I have been ill. Thank you for your patience.

Our community extends words of sympathy to the family of Joe Paul Cleir. His wife, Phoebe is a dear friend to this family and we lift them up in prayer at this difficult time.

Our grandson, Nicholas (former resident of this community) will present a concert at the Elkland Independent Methodist Church this Saturday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. I know there are several from this area who are planning on attending and you are all welcome. He has been singing since he was 3 years old, when he started singing at the Dogwood Church of the Nazarene. However, this will be his first concert. Several friends will be joining him. The Cunningham family, Linda Dickinson and Regetta Cable, will be among those who will be singing as well. This will be for the new food pantry/thrift store that the church is building. Jean Grisham will be serving as the pianist and a dessert auction will take place. Hope to see you there.

I really enjoyed spending time in Ozark with my oldest daughter, Janice Morris and her daughters as we took in three movies together. We really had a blast, even though we did not get in until the early morning hours!

Everyone is busy making plans for Thanksgiving and hope that you are planning to enjoy a bountiful feast with those who you hold near and dear to your heart. We sure hope to see you out this way in the near future. God bless you all.
